a2omAs well as providing an opportunity to reward Business Champions, the Driving for Better Business showcase event at Cranfield afforded a chance for a2om to launch their new qualification for business drivers – the first of its kind.

This BTEC qualification is based on best practice and uses interactive software that allows the participant to practice life saving higher order driving skills such as eye scanning, hazard perception and risk management from the safety of their home computer. Recent large scale research found that a2om’s unique e-learning training improved attitudes of the participants to risk taking such as speeding, close following and overtaking.  It has also been proven to improve drivers’ eye movement patterns and hazard perception skills: key components in a safe driver.

Launching the new qualification, RoadSafe’s patron HRH Prince Michael of Kent said: ‘A well managed fleet of drivers makes for a happy and profitable company. I am keen that you should promote these values within your companies and am therefore delighted that we are able to be here today for the launch of a totally new qualification - a BTEC in driving being introduced by
a2om – a company which works closely with Cranfield and already applies some of the most advanced learning from around the world but which knows that a sound vocational qualification such as this one can make a real difference to those who drive for a living.’
